I’m James and after 25 years of working as a chef all over the world, from Michelin starred restaurants, chalets in the French Alps, Australian bistros, to event catering, I set up The Horsebox in 2017. I love creating fantastic food with local ingredients and felt inspired to start up on my own, with the idea to bring delicious wood fired pizza to the villages around Bristol that have limited take away options. This has developed into catering for weddings and parties, corporate events and private dining. I love being outdoors in all weathers, and getting to chat directly with customers and seeing them enjoying my food is very satisfying.
The vintage Horsebox itself started life on a farm, but after extensive renovations and the addition of a bespoke wood burning pizza oven, was ready to get back in use as a food truck.
